From November 4 to 6, 2026, the longevity community will turn its attention to Brussels for the Eurosymposium on Healthy Ageing/Longevity, bringing together cutting-edge research and active policymaking. Organised by the Healthy Life Extension Society (HEALES), this year’s conference will be a hybrid event, allowing you to join either on-site in the heart of Europe or online.
The agenda focuses on three main tracks. On the scientific front, experts will dive deep into the latest findings on tissue regeneration through bioelectricity and the medical potential of exosomes.
For us at PRIMA, however, the third track is of particular importance: the political discourse. The schedule aims for a direct dialogue with members of the EU Parliament. This aligns perfectly with our core mission of actively shaping the regulatory frameworks for longevity therapies on a European level, ensuring that medical breakthroughs ultimately reach the public.
If you are interested in the intersection of innovative science and concrete policymaking, make sure to mark these dates in your calendar. We look forward to the conversation!

It's official at last and it marks an important day for prevention in Germany.
In the German Bundestag, members from across the political spectrum have founded the cross-party Parliamentary Circle "Prevention" (Parlamentskreis „Prävention"). We at PRIMA say: congratulations, and thank you!
For us, this day is a real partial success. A good deal of persuasion lies behind us — but we are also clear-eyed: a far greater share of the work now lies ahead of us all.
The founding of the Parliamentary Circle makes visible what many actors from science, civil society, public health and politics have been calling for years: prevention must not remain a marginal issue in health policy. It has to becomea central task for the future.
PRIMA expressly welcomes the founding of this Parliamentary Circle for taking this important step across party lines. Because now the political signal must turn into concrete implementation: better standards, binding targets, effective prevention structures, fair access, better data, sustainable financing and a health policy that does not wait to act until people fall ill.
For PRIMA, one thing is clear: prevention is not an add-on. It is the foundation of a modern, fair and future-proof health system.
We look forward to working with everyone ready to take this path forward.

"For too long, healthy ageing has been treated as a private matter or a downstream cost. With this Memorandum, parliaments across borders commit to a different premise: that adding healthy years to people's lives is a shared public good — and a legitimate object of legislation. At PRIMA, we see this as the beginning of a durable policy architecture, not a single declaration. Our task now is to turn shared intent into concrete law, evidence standards, and institutions that outlast any one government.
On 12 June 2026, the International Parliamentary Cooperation Initiative for Healthy Ageing and Longevity was inaugurated at the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania in Vilnius — a cross-party, international alliance of parliamentarians, researchers, and civil-society actors.
PRIMA is among the founding signatories and has helped shape the Initiative from the outset. The Memorandum was adopted during the international conference "Healthy Ageing and Health in All Policies – A Strategic Choice for the State," held as part of the Healthy Ageing and Longevity Assembly 2026.
Population ageing is one of the defining transformations of our century, with far-reaching consequences for health systems, social protection, economic productivity, and solidarity between generations. Yet despite the urgency, parliaments still lack dedicated frameworks that make healthy ageing and longevity a systematic, cross-departmental priority. The Memorandum addresses precisely this gap:
It anchors the principle of "Health in All Policies," calls for evidence-based policy-making grounded in geroscience, and treats prevention, research, and healthy life years not as a cost but as an investment with measurable social, economic, and humanitarian returns.
As a structured platform, the Initiative establishes joint working groups, enables the cross-border exchange of proven legislation, and develops applicable policy tools — from ex ante and ex post health-impact assessment of laws to indicator frameworks for healthy life expectancy. As PRIMA Longevity Policy Institute, we contribute our health-policy expertise and will actively support the operational coordination and ongoing development of the Initiative. The Memorandum is framed as a shared declaration of intent; it expressly respects the sovereign decision-making freedom of every parliament and every member of parliament.
